Floating Doorway – Surreal Contemporary Canvas Wall Art
Price range: ₨ 4,199 through ₨ 8,499
Floating Doorway is a surreal contemporary canvas wall art exploring longing, possibility, and the distance between where we are and where we want to be. A quiet statement piece for modern Pakistani homes, bedrooms, living rooms, and creative spaces.
Floating Doorway, a canvas wall art, turns a simple doorway into something far more mysterious: a distant possibility suspended above a solitary figure. A small figure stands below, looking upward toward an open doorway that seems impossibly out of reach, connected only by a thin, wandering line.
The composition is deliberately sparse. Almost the entire canvas is occupied by a soft, weathered field of warm cream and beige, leaving an unusual amount of negative space around the central elements. The emptiness is not simply a background; it becomes part of the story.
At the bottom, the solitary figure looks upward. Above them, the open doorway appears suspended in the wall of nothingness. The delicate line connecting the two introduces a sense of tension and possibility. It could represent hope, memory, ambition, curiosity, or the invisible connection between where someone stands and where they wish to go.
There is no obvious destination behind the doorway. It opens into darkness, leaving the most important part of the journey completely unknown. That uncertainty is what gives Floating Doorway its surreal character.
A Contemporary Surreal Artwork
Rather than relying on complex imagery or an overwhelming palette, Floating Doorway creates its impact through scale, proportion, negative space, and symbolism. The muted cream, beige, taupe, and charcoal tones give the piece a restrained visual character, while the small dark doorway becomes an immediate focal point.
The result is a piece of contemporary wall art that feels quiet at first glance but reveals a deeper narrative the longer you spend with it. Its unusual composition allows different viewers to find completely different meanings within the same scene.
Crafted for Modern Spaces
Presented as a high-resolution digital artwork, Floating Doorway is designed for premium canvas printing while retaining its delicate linework, muted tones, painterly texture, and distinctive surreal composition.
Its vertical format makes it particularly effective as canvas wall art in spaces where a tall, visually restrained artwork can create a strong focal point without making the room feel crowded.

Where the Meaning Begins
What is the doorway?
It could be an opportunity that feels just beyond reach. A memory. A destination. A version of yourself that exists somewhere ahead. Or perhaps it is simply an open door with no explanation for why it is floating there.
The figure below never reaches it, yet the thin line between them suggests that some connection remains. The distance becomes the central subject of the artwork.
That ambiguity is intentional. Floating Doorway does not tell you what to see. It gives you an image and leaves enough silence for your own interpretation.
Made for Thoughtful Spaces
Some wall art is designed to immediately fill a room with color and energy. Floating Doorway takes the opposite approach. Its restraint allows the surrounding interior to breathe while giving the viewer something unusual to return to.
Whether displayed as a focal point in a contemporary living room, a contemplative piece of bedroom wall decor, or an intriguing addition to a home office, it brings a quiet sense of mystery to the space.
For modern Pakistani interiors, its neutral palette makes it particularly adaptable to warm, understated spaces where artwork is expected to complement the room rather than compete with it.
Floating Doorway is ultimately about the spaces between things – the distance between where we stand and where we want to be, between certainty and possibility, and between looking at a door and choosing to walk through it.

Canvas & Framing
Canvas
Every Naqshan artwork is printed on a premium imported synthetic canvas material selected specifically for high-quality art reproduction.
Unlike traditional cotton or linen canvases, our selected synthetic canvas provides a smooth and consistent printing surface that works exceptionally well with our Roland eco-solvent printing process. This allows us to achieve crisp details, rich colors, and consistent reproduction across different artwork sizes.
The canvas has a refined textured appearance that gives each piece the character of printed wall art while maintaining the clarity and color depth needed to showcase contemporary, abstract, and detailed artwork.
Each artwork is produced to order in your selected size and prepared specifically for its final presentation.
Framing
Every Naqshan artwork comes finished in a clean black border frame, chosen to give the artwork a refined, contemporary presentation while keeping the focus on the piece itself.
The slim profile and neutral black finish make it versatile across different interior styles – from modern and minimalist spaces to warmer, more layered interiors. It also creates a defined visual edge around the artwork, helping the piece sit naturally against the wall rather than appearing unfinished.
The frame is lightweight, practical, and designed for easy display while providing additional structure and protection around the canvas.
More framing options are on the way. As the Naqshan collection grows, we plan to introduce additional frame finishes, colors, profiles, and presentation styles including alternative frame designs and stretched canvas options – so you can choose a finish that better suits your artwork and space.
Your artwork arrives framed and ready to display.
Installation & Care
Installation
Your artwork is prepared for a straightforward installation and arrives ready to hang.
- Ready to hang upon arrival
- Hanging hardware included
- Suitable for drywall and masonry when paired with appropriate wall fixtures
- Larger artworks may require two mounting points
- For heavier or larger pieces, we recommend using suitable heavy-duty wall anchors and fixtures for your wall type
Tip: Before drilling, measure the wall and mark the intended position of the artwork. For artwork placed above furniture, leave enough visual breathing room between the furniture and the frame.
Care
A little care will help preserve the appearance and character of your artwork for years to come.
- Dust gently with a clean, soft microfiber cloth
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
- Keep away from excessive moisture and humid areas
- Do not use water, cleaning chemicals, sprays, or abrasive materials on the canvas
- Avoid touching the printed surface unnecessarily
- Handle the artwork by its frame whenever possible
- When moving the artwork, support it securely from both sides
With the right placement and simple care, your Naqshan artwork is designed to remain a lasting part of your space.
